Maddie's British Accent

My friend Krista recommended that I record Maddie speaking in her British accent. So, the other day, I caught Maddie and Tim playing on video. Often, when Maddie is playing or reading, she will speak in a British accent. When she speaks with children, she almost always defaults to British, as well.

But, as evidenced by this footage, you can see that she can turn it on and off like a switch (especially when it comes to yelling at her brother).

This is a short video of Collin's favorite, new thing to do in his bouncy seat. I guess this is why they call it a bouncy seat!! (That's Maddie laughing in the background.)

That's so cute! I wonder if she'll keep it when you guys come back to America! I hope so!!! Has Tim done that as well?

That is awesome! I hope it sticks! I'm sure I'll get to hear more of it when we come visit in May.

Chica -- How cute! And how wonderful that your children have a multi-national upbringing. I'm sure it can only be beneficial for them as they grow.

AND--I don't know what you're talking about with your house being chaotic. YOU ARE THE MOST ORGANIZED MOTHER on the planet---complete with time for quilting, mailing birthday cards, thank-you notes, and Christmas gifts on time OH and making PHOTO ALBUMS. I'm just not buying the 'chaos' thing. WHATEVER chica!!

Collin's kicking is hysterical. So adorable how Maddie can pull out the British accent so readily. How fun.

Adorable accent. "I'm tryeeng to cawn-cen-tryte." Hey, do they make bouncy seats for adults? I could burn some serious thigh fat in one afternoon just imitating your little lad. Keep the videos coming. They're too cute.
