Valley Gardens

Today the kids and I ventured out to Valley Gardens in Harrogate. I had never been there before, but the kids went there for a class outing (aka field trip). It really is a lovely park. There is a nice pond, pavilion, and playground. I read somewhere that they have free concerts during the summer time, too. You can do putt-putt golf, play tennis, and run your remote control boat in a toy boat pond.
The playground was the highlight for the kids of course. They enjoyed time on the swings and see-saw. Even Collin enjoyed his very first swing-ride! The playground also has a "paddling pool" that they fill in the summer-time for the kids to wade in.

The highlight for me was the flowers! They looked and smelled so beautiful! Ahhhh, spring time...After our time at Valley Gardens, we walked into town and had a small treat at Betty's. Betty's is the place for tea in Harrogate. We always love their window displays, but we especially enjoy seeing the chocolate eggs and treats that they display for Easter.

I want to go to Valley Gardens, too! Loved the photo of Collin in the swing. He was enjoying that ride!
